Had a great beach day here! When we arrived we noticed that the beach was recently groomed. The sand is soft and not rocky. The beach wasn't crowded and there was lots of space to play or relax. There are lots of trees for shade and picnic tables. Nice facilities and a outdoor shower to rinse sand off before heading home. The beach was litter free. You can rent equipment to paddle around the lake if you like.

It's a nice place, the beach is very large and clean and they have a good play structure for the kids.

Nice beach, sand has some larger rocks in it. You can rent a paddle board or bring a fishing rod and fish at the point. A little windy and no dogs allowed (because some people don't pick up their dogs poo, we are in bare feet!) Doggy area is by the boat launch. Bathrooms aren't always open (they should be from spring to automn.)

Katepwa Point is one of my most favorite spots on Earth! The views from the point are fantastic! I've done one hiking trail there that was a lot of work, but the view at the top of the valley was well worth it. The beach is stoney so bring water socks. The fishing is great year round, especially on the east side of the damn in the Qu'Appelle River. The Ellis Trail, more of a Jeep or Truck trail (Summer road only) could be hiked but its a long one and I think you'd need land owner permission to camp. Just a warning for foot travellers in this area, I have seen 1 cougar. This was in 2013. Just be careful out there.
